College Visits

University of Northern Colorado

I just finished a week of visiting colleges in Colorado.  Our group included three people from California, one from Philadelphia, and two from Colorado.  Our list of colleges to visit included the usuals for Colorado; University of Colorado (Boulder), Colorado College (Colorado Springs), Univesrity of Denver (Denver). Colorado State University (Ft. Collins).  We included other colleges in our list for visits as well:  Colorado School of Mines (Golden), the Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs), University of Northern Colorado (Greeley), Naropa University (Boulder), and Regis University (Denver), and Johnson and Wales (Denver).  In addition to meeting with an admissions representative, we met with the learning disabilities representative at almost all of the colleges.  The welcome we received was warm and inviting.  The colleges were glad to have us take the time to learn more about their university.  Some of them were not familiar with the concept of an independent consultant.  "What school are you with?" was a common question. Our University of Northern Colorado representative was so excited we were coming.  He made us feel so welcome!  Northern Colorado is a hidden gem, one of the schools that are of the "just right" size; not too big and not too small.  Be looking for pictures of the colleges on our fan page at . We will also be posting to mycca fan page write ups on the schools we visited.  The write ups will be on mycca.net in college comments, and one this blog.
